Most of these started as something I needed and couldn’t find. They are built to be used, not demonstrated.
Automatic mileage tracking for Android. Detects drives on their own, classifies business against personal, and keeps an IRS-accurate rate table that splits by date rather than by year — so a mid-year rate change is handled correctly. Exports a spreadsheet at tax time.
A music player for Android built on YouTube Music — streams almost any song or video, keeps playing in the background, and runs on Android Auto in the truck. Signed and built under my own net.m4j key.
Notes and voice recordings, synced across every device. A clean writing surface with a formatting toolbar, account settings, and recordings kept alongside the text they belong to.
A bookmark manager for collecting, organizing, and validating URLs — built for keeping large link libraries clean and checking that what is in them still resolves.
A searchable public index with its own crawler, sitemap, and OpenSearch descriptor — a self-hosted way to make a body of content findable.
